I've been on topband since I was licenced (in 1969) and was mobile on 160 when you still needed a separate licence! At home in Birmingham for I use a 240ft doublet at 18Mtrs high for 160 through to 10m + 6m/4m/2m/70cm verticals. For LF & MF I strap the doublet feeders and run it as a Tee. When operating from my parent's home in Scotland I use a dipole at 20Mtrs high plus anything else I bother to string-up whilst I'm there.

There are several things here that may interest you; a design for a 500 Watt Mosfet PA for 160-40M, loads of info if you fancy mobile or remote operation, an easy loop aerial for small gardens and a few simple circuits.
